“EX-bat”
Given the latest news today, will we be able to keep the “BAT” – or, better yet, will we want to? I had 37 years at Motorola, the last 10 or so in iDEN when went from being a significant cash drain to the company to jumping into the black and being a cash cow until Sprint bought Nextel and “killed” the cow. As many others, the majority of the people I worked with were fantastic people and I feel for those still around.
My son and daughter-in-law (who met at Motorola in iDEN) are still there so my heart is drawn back continuously. I’ve been away for a year, have spent all the time working with my wife’s company – advertising specialties – and for the last few months, being “Nanny” for my grandson in the afternoons. What a joy.
We’re still in the same house for the last 23 years in Coral Springs and see many of the current and ex-Bats regularly. Best wishes for good health and positive future for all.
